À quoi sert un tableau d'amortissement

A depreciation schedule spreads the cost of a long-lived asset across the periods that benefit from it. Each line shows expense for the period, total depreciation so far, and remaining book value. IFRS IAS 16, Property, Plant and Equipment is the IFRS standard for property, plant, and equipment, including depreciation.

For U.S. tax depreciation methods and recovery periods, the IRS publishes IRS Publication 946, How To Depreciate Property. Book depreciation on your financial statements can differ from tax depreciation. This generator is a book-style schedule you can export to Excel.

Linéaire et dégressif à taux double

Straight-line spreads cost minus scrap value evenly over useful life. It is easy to explain and fits assets that wear evenly. Double declining balance charges more expense in early periods by applying twice the straight-line rate to the declining book value, without going below scrap value.

IFRS IAS 16, Property, Plant and Equipment requires a method that reflects how you consume the asset's benefits. IRS Publication 946, How To Depreciate Property describes tax systems such as MACRS that may not match your book method. Ask your accountant which method belongs on the books and which belongs on the return.
